Yun Guo
Title: Test Lead II
Team: Microsoft Application Virtualization
When Yun isn't managing her team she can be found roaming through Chinatown in search of the best Dim Sum or at home enjoying the first few minutes of "Monk."

  • Can you tell us about your background?
Before I joined here I worked for Softricity, which was acquired by Microsoft. We were working on the same thing; application virtualization.
  • Why Microsoft Cambridge?
The first reason is that I really love to work with a group of very smart people. The second reason, I love our product. I think our product is very cool.
  • Favorite local haunt?
My favorite place would have to be Chinatown; I can get a lot of good Chinese food over there. Actually next week we are going over there for Dim Sum to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
  • What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten?
Once one of my colleagues brought in spicy ice cream. That's the strangest thing I have ever eaten. When you first eat it, it is sweet and cold and then a half second later it's going to be hot and spicy on your tongue. You have to have a can of soda next to you to wash down the second half.
  • What is your favorite TV show theme song?
My favorite TV theme song is the song from “Monk.”
