Bringing Clean Technologies to the Mainstream
Bringing Clean Technologies to the Mainstream

Event Details

  • Date: 4/20/10
  • Location: Microsoft New England R&D Center, One Memorial Drive, Cambridge, MA 02142
  • Time: 6:30–10pm
  • Audience: Tech
  • Description: Innovative clean technologies are under development at a pace unrivaled in human history. However, we must still overcome obstacles to their broad commercialization. Please join our distinguished panel to discuss the mainstreaming of these technologies. Many clean technologies have demonstrated clear economic and societal benefits. However, significant questions remain about the mainstream adoption of these new technologies. For example:
    • When will renewable energy make up a significant part of our energy system?
    • What is required to make plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles (PHEVs) as common as internal combustion vehicles?
    • Why aren't smart meters universal in homes and apartments?
    • Who are the key gatekeepers to the mainstreaming of these technologies?
Ross Boston has invited a distinguished panel to explore these questions and to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with bringing clean technology innovations to scale and into the mainstream.
  • Confirmed panelists include:
    • Mark Potter, Vice President of Operations, EnerNOC
    • Steve Zamierowski, Director of the Tech-Venture Center, Deloitte
    • Bruce Sher, Senior Vice President of Business Development & Sales, Viridity Energy
